Cultural Arts & Crafts
We provide several activities throughout the school year for different grade levels. Some of our activities are done in the classroom so that all students have the opportunity to learn about Native American culture. We also provide arts and crafts and evening events for NASS students and their immediate families.
Activities and events will vary for each school year.

Summer Cultural Read Books
During the summer, NASS students in grades Pre-K through 6 will receive a cultural book to enjoy during the break. Accompanying the book is a one-page summary form that students can complete and return in exchange for a small reward. Pictured below are a few of our past Summer Read books.
Broncho Bound (8th grade)
Eighth-grade NASS students can attend UCO's Bronco Bound in March. The students have the opportunity to explore UCO's campus, classrooms, tour student housing, and walk the university grounds. Additionally, they enjoy a complimentary lunch in the UCO cafeteria.
Indian Youth Career Day
IYCD is a collaborative event organized by nine metro school districts for high school NASS students. Students participate in workshops, campus tours, and visit tribal information booths at a local university. Lunch is provided, and prizes are awarded.
