JOHNSON O'MALLEY
(JOM)
JOM is a separate program from the Title VI/NASS program. It is overseen by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma and the Yukon Parent Committee. Students and/or parents of any federally recognized tribe and student is enrolled in Yukon schools can be eligible.
Requirements for enrollment in Johnson O'Malley (JOM):
Completed current school year JOM application. Then one of following three options:
Copy of students own tribal membership/citizenship card. (CDIB cards are not eligible)
Copy of parent's tribal membership/citizenship card AND a copy of student's birth certificate (which shows relationship to parent) (CDIB cards are not eligible)
Official letter from the tribe stating the student has an application on file for their own membership card
*Students who are attending a daycare in Yukon are not eligible for the JOM or Title VI program, even if the daycare is using YPS curriculum. Students have to be enrolled in Yukon Public Schools to receive services.

Here are some of the items that JOM assists with:
*Items MUST be required by class, teacher, or coach*
*Basic school supplies (Distribution for Yukon school supplies happens in July.)
School athletic/cheer uniforms
Class fees and supplies (Shop Class, Art, FFA, Elem. honor choir, Elem. club fees, English and Science fees)
Cap & gown fees
Eyeglass assistance
Band rental fees
ACT fees
If partial refunds go to the parent, all receipts must be original. Please contact the JOM parent committee (ypsjom@gmail.com) for more information.

JOM Parent Committee Meetings
The JOM program has a parent committee that meets throughout the school year. The committee is made up of parents whose kids are enrolled in the JOM program at YPS. Meetings are held to discuss and approve expenditures and discuss ideas on how to spend the funding that Yukon JOM receives. Meetings are held at the Mabel C Fry library.
